Why do some Dockweiler tubes and fittings have yellow caps?

Tubes and fittings with yellow caps indicate high purity electropolished products. This is usually our ultron product. The tubes and fittings are double-wrapped in foil and sealed.

Why doesn't Dockweiler offer seamless tubes up to 2"?

Welded tubes are specified for all current pharmaceutical projects. Untreated tubes <= 25.40 mm are required for ultra-pure gas applications only. Continuous quality can be ensured up to this outer diameter. By customer request, larger diameters must be checked again. This results in longer delivery times and higher costs. All Dockweiler qualities larger than DN 25 or 2" are therefore offered as welded versions.
